Podolyak said that “any tribunals in quasi-jurisdictions are a propaganda show for domestic consumption.”

“An attempt to hold a trial of Ukrainian prisoners is a war crime and a violation of the Geneva Convention. The UN and the ICRC must firmly state their position. It is not too late to restore respect for these abbreviations,” Podolyak said.

Earlier, the leader of the DPR terrorist organization Denis Pushilin said that the occupiers are preparing a “tribunal” over Ukrainian prisoners of war, it is “inevitable”, and the first of these will be held in Mariupol.

  • On August 6, the Mariupol Mayor’s Office announced that the occupiers were installing cages in the Mariupol Philharmonic in order to hold a demonstration trial of the defenders of Ukraine in September.
