The language ombudsman Taras Kremin said this on the air of one of the TV channels, which broadcasts it press office.
He emphasized that discussions on the language issue are harmful.
“I want there to be no speculation on the language issue. We have already gone through the division of Ukraine according to different categories. The so-called two Ukraines are one of the developments of the psychological direction of Russian origin. We have a single state. We have a single state language. We have a single vision in the approach of our victory. We thank the Armed Forces of Ukraine for their unity,” Kremin emphasized.
The commissioner also said that, if necessary, language courses can be opened for servicemen to improve Ukrainian.
What is known about the scandal with Iryna Farion
Recently, Iryna Farion emphasized in “Rendezvous with Yanina Sokolova” that she cannot consider Russian-speaking soldiers as Ukrainians. She called them “muscovy bulls that disgrace the Armed Forces.” The public reacted to the scandalous words of the ex-deputy, and the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for human rights, Dmytro Lubinets, appealed to the National Police of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine and the National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting regarding discrimination.
Also, leaflets were pasted on one of the buildings of the Lviv Polytechnic with calls for the dismissal of Iryna Farion, who teaches at this educational institution. Subsequently, the official position of the educational institution was published on the website of the Lviv Polytechnic. They specified that Lviv Polytechnic is not responsible for the statements of employees and students outside the university.
At the same time, students of the Lviv Polytechnic called on the law enforcement officers to verify Farion’s statements.
Later, the ex-deputy made publicly available a letter from a Crimean student who came out in support of her. At the same time, Farion “illuminated” the boy’s personal data, which led to the FSB finding him. The human rights commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine emphasized that the dissemination of personal data in wartime poses a threat to life and freedom. He turned to the Security Service of Ukraine “so that the actions of a citizen of Ukraine are properly analyzed and a legal assessment is provided.”
