The third case of monkeypox was confirmed in Ukraine

Another case of monkeypox was recorded in Ukraine – this is already the third in the last seven days.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Health on Thursday, September 22.

“All three patients have a mild course of the disease, have not been abroad and, according to preliminary data, have had no contact with patients. There is also currently no confirmation that these cases are related. At the same time, the risk of spreading this disease among a larger number of people is currently low.” – said chief sanitary doctor Ihor Kuzin.

He also assured that in Ukraine there are enough tests to diagnose this disease.

We will remind you that the first case of monkeypox in Ukraine was registered on September 15, and the second – on September 19.

According to Kuzin, there is no need for additional quarantine measures yet.
