The USA will hand over a new package of weapons and ammunition to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
This is stated in a statement published on site Pentagon.
It states that as part of this package, Ukraine will receive military aid in the amount of 175 million dollars.
The US, among other things, will supply the Armed Forces with depleted uranium shells for Abrams tanks. Before that, Ukraine did not receive such ammunition from the American government.
The aid package will also include the following weapons:
- equipment for air defense systems;
- ammunition for HIMARS;
- 155 and 105 mm caliber artillery shells;
- 81-mm mortars and shells;
- missiles with TOW optical tracking;
- brotyvotank complexes
- more than 3 million cartridges for small arms;
- tactical air navigation systems.
It will be recalled that Ukraine has already received projectiles with depleted uranium – they were handed over by Great Britain in April.
It is worth noting that the previous aid package from the US included weapons with a total value of 250 million dollars.
