Polish President Andrzej Duda believes that the military actions unleashed by Hamas terrorists against Israel play into the hands of Russia, since they attract the attention of the world community. About it reports Reuters.
In an interview with PolsatNews, Duda said that the conflict in the Middle East distracts international attention from Moscowβs aggression in Ukraine and could lead to a new round of the migration crisis in Europe.
“This is certainly beneficial for Russia and for Russian aggression against Ukraine. It distracts the attention of the whole world,” Duda said.
He also believes that due to the Hamas war against Israel, the European Union is likely to face another wave of migrants from the Middle East.
According to Eurostat, at the end of June 2023 there were approximately 975,000 Ukrainians registered in Poland.
On October 4, Polish government spokesman Piotr Muller announced that starting next year the country would begin cut aid for Ukrainian refugees.
