The situation has changed in the Lymansk-Kupyansk direction – the Russian occupiers have given up their intention to continue offensive actions.
Enemies began to strengthen their defenses, told head of the press service of the Eastern Group of Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Ilya Yevlash on Tuesday, September 5, on the air of the “FreeDom” channel. “After the enemy received a blow from the Armed Forces of Ukraine, he abandoned his intentions to continue his offensive and began to strengthen his lines,” the head of the press service said.
According to Yevlash, the invaders in this direction continue to attack our defenders.
“But I also want to say that he continues to attack in this direction, continues to use his artillery, aviation, and also to strike at the positions of our defenders. For example, over the past day, the enemy launched 705 artillery strikes from various artillery systems, using various types ammunition…”, he added.
