Two wetlands of international importance have been practically destroyed: the Great and Small Kuchugura Archipelago and the Seven Beacons Floodplain.
In total, 812 objects of the nature reserve fund with a total area of ββ0.9 million hectares were affected. 17 wetlands of international importance are also at risk.
Habitats of species of flora and fauna listed in the Red Book of Ukraine, the European Red List of endangered species of animals and plants on a global scale were damaged.
Β«This list and the scale of losses may grow, because hostilities are still ongoing in part of the territories of Ukraine, and the rest are under occupation or awaiting demining“, the department adds.
It will be recalled that Russia’s destruction of the Kakhovskaya HPP dam caused Ukraine losses in the amount of almost 14 billion dollars.
The Ministry of Economy noted that daily damage to the environment of Ukraine increases by approximately 102 million euros.
