A security official told Al Jazeera that 20 people were killed and 40 others were injured in the blast. 27 patients injured in the explosion, including a seven-year-old child, were sent to the emergency hospital. Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid confirmed that the explosion killed and wounded people, but did not specify how many.
