The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Germany, Annalena Berbock, said that her country wants to connect the energy network more closely with Ukraine. In particular, the states signed a declaration of intent to build a wind farm around the Chernobyl nuclear power plant.

In particular, the German minister visited an electrical substation approximately 50 kilometers from Kyiv, which provides a significant part of the electricity supply in the region. Russian missiles and kamikaze drones hit this energy facility several times. write the country’s public broadcaster Tagesschau. High fences are now installed around the station to intercept low-flying drones.
The minister also emphasized that Germany will continue to provide military and humanitarian aid. In particular, the country will once again increase emergency humanitarian aid for Ukraine: this year alone, it will reach 380 million euros.
In addition, Burbok met with President Volodymyr Zelenskyi.

We appreciate the extremely important German support for Ukraine. We are especially grateful for the new defense aid package for our country and the truly leadership contribution to strengthening Ukraine’s air defense.
During the meeting, they discussed defense cooperation, protection of civilian life in Ukraine, European integration, in particular, progress in implementing the recommendations of the European Commission, as well as the deportation of Ukrainian children.
It will be recalled that the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Germany, Annalena Burbok, arrived in Ukraine on the morning of September 11 with an unannounced visit. Berbok visited Kyiv for the fourth time since the beginning of the full-scale war.
