In the Kharkiv district, the police detained the attackers who tried to rob a gas station: they turned out to be 36- and 38-year-old residents of Kharkiv and the Dnipro region. The men were informed of the suspicion of committing this offense.
During the pre-trial investigation, the investigators found out that on September 3, around 11:00, the suspects were on the territory of the gas station located in the village of Bystre. Having made sure that the gas station was not functioning and not guarded, the accomplices decided to improve their financial situation.
First, they dismantled the platform on which 4 electric motors are installed with accessories that act as pumps for supplying fuel to the gas station. Then an engine part worth 10,000 hryvnias was removed from the basement. But they did not complete their crime. They were detained by police officers patrolling the village.
According to this fact, the investigators of the police department No. 3 of the Khrupp No. 1 have opened criminal proceedings under Part 3 of Art. 15, Part 4 of Art. 185 (theft) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Offenders face up to 8 years in prison.
