More than 7,000 Kharkiv residents used the services of “points of invincibility” and heat points yesterday, December 16, during the blackout caused by Russian shelling of the energy infrastructure.
Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov said this today, December 17, in an interview with the Suspilne television and radio company during a visit to Uzhgorod.
According to him, people can use not only heating points, but also stay in the subway during power outages and get free hot lunches at food distribution points located in schools. For example, yesterday, about 22,000 Kharkiv residents visited food outlets.
Ihor Terekhov thanked the utilities and energy workers who restored all vital services yesterday.
“We worked to supply the home with energy as quickly as possible. We succeeded in this. Kharkiv residents are heroes, courageous people who endure very difficult trials. You can’t get used to it, but there is stability,” the mayor of Kharkiv emphasized.
