Former US President Donald Trump called the Lebanese group Hezbollah “very smart” and Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant as a “moron.” He said this at a campaign rally in Florida.
During a speech in West Palm Beach, Trump called Hezbollah representatives “very smart.”
“Two days ago I read all the security people Bidenwho said, “Gee, I hope Hezbollah doesn’t attack from the north because that’s the weakest spot.” I said, wait, Hezbollah is very smart. They’re all very smart,” Trump said.
He also criticized the head of the Israeli Ministry of Defense, Galant.
“They have the defense minister or somebody, he said: I hope Hezbollah doesn’t attack us from the north. But the next morning they attacked. If you listen to this idiot, you will attack from the north, because he said: this is our weak point,” the politician said.
In addition, Trump blamed the Biden administration for the Hamas attack on Israel.
- On October 7, 2023, Hamas launched a major attack on Israel. In response, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that they had launched Operation Iron Swords.
- On October 8, the Israeli government officially declared a state of war, and the next day the Israel Defense Forces said it had ordered a complete lockdown of the Gaza Strip.
- On October 11, the Times of Israel reported that the attack by Hamas terrorists killed at least 1,200 people and injured about 3,000.
- On the same day, Foreign Ministry spokesman Nikolenko announced the deaths of three Ukrainians and nine fellow citizens injured.
