Ukraine is confiscating seven Russian MiG-25 high-altitude fighter-interceptors, which will be dismantled for spare parts for Ukrainian combat aircraft. About it stated on the website of the Ministry of Economy.

According to information from open sources, seven faulty Russian MiG-25 aircraft have been located on the territory of the Zaporozhye state aircraft repair plant “MiGremont” since 1994.

We are talking about the MiG-25RBM that arrived there in 1994, five MiG-25RBs that arrived from 1995 to 1996, and the MiG-25RU – it appeared at the plant in 1995.

The management of the enterprise has repeatedly tried to decide the fate of the aircraft with Russian management. The Russians agreed to scrap aircraft three times in 1998, 2003 and 2007, the portal reports. Military.

The fighters can no longer take off, but some parts from them can be used to repair other types of aircraft in Ukraine.
