Ukraine has evacuated another 50 people from Azovstal, the operation will continue on May 7

This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration and Occupied Territories Iryna Vereshchuk in telegram and head OPU Andriy Yermak.

The head of the OPU noted that the evacuation was very difficult, because the Russians were constantly creating provocations, did not stop firing, continued fighting.

According to him, the operation to deport people will continue, and the government will not stop.

“Today we evacuated civilians from Azovstal. On the way back we had to take people to Port City. Unfortunately, we didn’t have time. Because the convoy was forced to stand near Azovstal all day. There were fights and other provocations. The enemy constantly violated the ceasefire. The evacuation was extremely slow. However, today we managed to evacuate 50 women, children and the elderly from Azovstal, “Vereshchuk said.

Tomorrow morning, May 7, the evacuation operation will continue. If all goes according to plan, there will be buses to Port City at 5:00 pm to take people to the Nameless One.

“There, people from Port City will join our column from Azovstal, which will leave for Zaporizhia the next day. I sincerely apologize to the people of Mariupol who did not wait for the evacuation buses today. We have everything to leave tomorrow. she added.
