About a thousand Ukrainians turned to the embassy for help.
Ukraine organized the first evacuation flight for citizens who remained in Israel, Ukrainian Ambassador to Israel Yevhen Korniychuk said on the air of the telethon, writes Judicial and legal newspaper.
He noted that the embassy provides assistance to the most vulnerable sections of the population.
We are talking about citizens who were undergoing treatment, citizens with children who will come temporarily, tourists whose flights have been canceled.
“We have actually distributed the first evacuation flight for 200 tickets at a moderate price, “pre-war”, relatively speaking, to Romania on Saturday,” the ambassador said.
Korniychuk noted that, most likely, another flight will be planned for Sunday.
According to him, the total number of people who appealed to the embassy for help with evacuation is about a thousand people.
We will remind that the number of dead Ukrainians in Israel has increased to three people.
