Defense Minister Rustem Umyerov had a telephone conversation with the head of the Belgian Defense Ministry Lyudivin Dedonder.
This is stated in the message of the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine in Telegram.
According to the data of the military department of our country, Umyerov and Dedonder discussed providing Ukraine with F-16 aircraft and training pilots of the Armed Forces.
“We also synchronized our positions before the upcoming meeting in the Rammstein format and the Ukraine-NATO Council”– said the message.
As you know, the Netherlands and Denmark led the efforts to train Ukrainian pilots to fly the F-16 and supply fighter jets to Ukraine.
We will remind that Zelenskyi agreed in Romania that Ukrainian pilots will be included in the first wave of F-16 training at the new training center.
Earlier in the Netherlands, they told how soon F-16 fighter jets will be handed over to Ukraine.
