The Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine wrote about this on Facebook Anna Painter.

“Understanding that the law-making process is long, in parallel, the Ministry of Defense, within the limits of its powers, prepared an order, which once again postponed the terms of taking women of relevant professions/specialties for military registration for another year – until October 1, 2023. The relevant order was signed yesterday, September 6 Minister of Defense Oleksiy Reznikov,” Malyar writes.

Therefore, there are no travel bans for women abroad from October 1.

“Currently, the draft Law “On Amendments to Article 1 of the Law of Ukraine “On Military Duty and Military Service” is being finalized in the parliament at the level of the specialized committee of the Verkhovna Rada.

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine previously sent its proposals, which, among other things, stipulate that the inclusion of women in the military register is of an exclusively voluntary nature, to the Committee,” the deputy minister explains.

By October 1, 2023, the parliament will be able to establish at the legislative level that the military registration of women in relevant professions is voluntary.

“The work in the committee of the Verkhovna Rada is actively continuing. Therefore, there is no panic and betrayal. There are no restrictions for women. After the adoption of the relevant changes to the legislation on the exclusively voluntary inclusion of women in the military register, there will no longer be a need to postpone the deadlines by orders of the Ministry of Defense again and again.” , – adds Malyar.

In addition, the deputy minister emphasized that the General Staff already has the experience of deploying all military units of the Armed Forces, so there is no urgent need to increase the number of women on the military register.
