The head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, called the attacks “terrorism in its most despicable form”. “Israel has the right to defend itself against such terrible attacks,” she stressed.
British Foreign Secretary James Cleverley said that the United Kingdom supports Israel’s right to protection.
