The Russian invaders suffered significant losses in the areas of Novomykhailivka of the Donetsk region and to the south of Novodarivka of the Zaporizhia region. This is stated in the operative information General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“The defense forces of Ukraine continue to conduct defense in the east and south of Ukraine, offensive operations in the Melitopol direction and offensive actions in the Bakhmut direction, destroy the enemy, step by step liberate the temporarily occupied territories, and consolidate on the reached borders,” the summary says.
In particular, 34 combat clashes took place during the past day.
According to the General Staff, in the area of responsibility of the Operational and Strategic Group of Forces (OSU) “Khortytsia” in the Kupyansk, Lymansk and Bakhmutsk directions, the enemy does not stop trying to break through the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Orikhovo-Vasylivka.
“In turn, the Defense Forces of Ukraine had partial success in the course of offensive operations in the Klishchiivka area of Donetsk region, inflicting significant losses on the enemy in terms of manpower and equipment,” the summary said.
Also, in the area of responsibility of the “Tavria” anti-aircraft defense unit, Ukrainian defenders are firmly holding the defense near Avdiyivka and Maryinka, where during the past day the enemy made more than 20 unsuccessful attempts to dislodge Ukrainian units from their occupied positions.

In addition, all enemy attacks in the areas of Novomykhailivka of the Donetsk region and south of Novodarivka of the Zaporizhia region resulted in significant losses of both manpower and equipment for the occupiers.
At the same time, in the Avdiiv, Marin, and Shakhtar directions, the Defense Forces continue to hold the initiative, put pressure on the enemy, conduct assaults, and reclaim our land.
“On the Melitopol direction, the Defense Forces continue the offensive operation, inflicting significant losses in manpower and equipment on the occupying troops, forcing the enemy to withdraw from the occupied positions. As a result of the assault actions, our soldiers have partial success in the Robotyny area of the Zaporizhzhia region,” – the summary emphasizes.
At the same time, in the area of responsibility of OSUV “Odesa” in the Kherson direction, the Defense Forces continue counter-battery fighting, destroying logistics, deployment sites and firing positions of enemy units.
In addition, in the Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions, the enemy continues to hold groups of troops covering the state border, conducts active diversionary activities in the border areas with the aim of preventing the transfer of our troops to threatening directions, and increases the density of mine and explosive barriers along the state border in the Belgorod region.

As UNIAN reported, in Luhansk region the Russians are currently focused on searching for weak points in the defense of the Armed Forces. Therefore, the enemy shifted its efforts to the Novoselivka area.
At the same time, Ukrainian fighters continue their offensive near Bakhmut and have success near Bakhmut, Klishchiivka, Andriivka and Kurdyumivka.
According to experts’ forecasts, Ukrainians should not expect the end of the war with the Russian Federation in 2023. Even in 2024, the final stage may begin, but the war will not end.
