Economist Oleg Pendzyn reported this on Espresso.
“We don’t need money from the IMF, but its presence in the country as a signal to investors that it is possible to work with Ukraine. This is important against the background of the fact that we actually declared default on foreign loans,” he said.
According to the economist, we receive the main money from our partners – the Americans, first of all.
“Europe gives us long-term cheap loans, and the USA gives us grants. Lend-Lease, which became operational on October 1, is also, in fact, a gift of military equipment. Without the help of our partners, Ukraine would not be able to fight from an economic point of view. World the bank and the IMF are international organizations that aim to support the economy in the process of its recovery and development. They certainly do not finance the military economy, expenses related to the war,” concluded Pendzin.
