Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mykola Tochytskyi stated this on the air of the telethon on Wednesday. transmits “European truth”.

As Tochytskyi explained, Ukraine wants to take part in the G20 summit given that economic problems will be raised there.

“We believe that what the Russian Federation is doing with regard to the termination of the “grain agreement” is a big challenge for the economies not only of African and Asian countries, but also for the world economies,” said the official of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“Therefore, we and our partners are working to be among the invited – both with India and with other partners who are among the participants of this summit,” he added.

The Group of 20 (G20), created in 1999, consists of Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, South Korea, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, Great Britain, the USA and the European Union. Together, they account for about 85% of world GDP, more than 75% of world trade and about two-thirds of the world’s population.

  • On August 16, Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar stated during a meeting with international media that Ukraine was not invited to the upcoming summit. According to him, in addition to the permanent members of the “Group of Twenty”, only nine countries were invited to the meeting in New Delhi: Spain, Bangladesh, Nigeria, Mauritius, Egypt, the Netherlands, Oman, Singapore and the UAE.
