Russian edition Agency. News published new photo of the headquarters of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol, attacked by a Ukrainian missile on September 22.
“The picture shows the scale of the destruction. The picture shows that the building’s ceilings have been destroyed and chaos reigns inside,” the caption to the photo says.
On the afternoon of September 22, 2023, explosions were heard at the headquarters of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol. There are many videos from the scene of the incident online.
Also the next day, satellite photographs of the headquarters of the Russian Black Sea Fleet hit by the Defense Forces appeared.
- On September 25, the MTR announced that as a result of a missile strike on Sevastopol, the commander of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, Viktor Sokolov, was killed. In total, 34 officers were allegedly liquidated, and another 105 occupiers were injured.
- On September 26, the Russian Ministry of Defense published a photo with Sokolov supposedly alive. The MTR units then reported that they were clarifying information about the destruction of the commander of the Russian Black Sea Fleet.
- On September 27, Russian propagandists published a number of videos in which Sokolov was allegedly alive.
- Zelensky also promised to clarify the data.
