The extent of destruction in Izyum after the Russian occupation can be compared with the scale of two Borodyankas, and the number of victims among the civilian population of Izyum is at least twice as high as the data for Buchi in the Kyiv region.

This was announced by the adviser to the Minister of Defense Oleksiy Kopytko on Facebook.

“Raisins are several Wards from the point of view of destruction and several (at least two) Buchas from the so-called the number of victims of the civilian population”– he said.

Kopytko recalled that the Russian military fired more rockets at Izyum than at Mariupol and any other city. Although the population in Izyum was about 10 times smaller.

“There are multi-story residential buildings on which aerial bombs were deliberately dropped. Entire entrances were made. Dozens of dead. As soon as our soldiers push the front a little further to the east, there will be a huge job of recording and investigating these crimes. The visit of the President of Ukraine to Izyum is a very strong gesture that will allow attention to be fixed on this city, including – in the context of the future tribunal on Russian war criminals”– said the adviser.

We will remind, on September 10, the Armed Forces of Ukraine recaptured Izyum of the Kharkiv region from the Russian army.

Procurator’s groups have already started work in the region, which records the atrocities of the Russians.
