“Of course, today there is quite noisy news from Russia. There are quite a lot of questions about this, but what actually happened? what sounds somewhere,” Zelensky said.
He noted that the task of Ukraine is to get more support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, intelligence, Special Operations Forces, the Security Service of Ukraine, the National Guard, border guards and everyone who is gradually restoring the territorial integrity of the country.
“Our positions do not change from the noise and any announcements from somewhere. And we have the full support of our partners in this,” Zelensky said.
The President noted that now Ukraine is supported not only by partners, but also by states that tried to stay away.
“There will be steps in support of Ukraine in such circumstances and from key international associations. So we maintain pressure. We maintain unity. We defend Ukraine. We liberate our land. And we do not show any weakness,” Zelensky added, thanking Ukraine’s “friends and partners” for the massive and principled condemnation of Russia’s attempts to “play another pseudo-referenda.”
- According to Russian propaganda media, the occupiers plan to hold pseudo-referendums on “joining Russia” with the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions from September 23 to 27.
- Representatives of the United States, Germany, Estonia, Canada, many other countries and NATO said that they would never recognize “referendums”, and if they were held, they would increase sanctions pressure on the Russian Federation and military support for Ukraine.
