President Vladimir Zelensky promised a “significant” budget for defense next year and for drones in particular. He stated this in an evening video message.
“Defense and security are the first priority, and funding for defense and security will be at least at this year’s level, that is, UAH 1.6 trillion. Minimum!” – said the president.
He noted that next year “significant” budget funds will be added to the military-industrial complex – weapons production in Ukraine.
“And for drones. Moreover, for the purchase of what is needed abroad, and for Ukrainian production. Plus, almost 100 billion UAH are targeted – for the production of weapons, which is carried out by the Ministry of Strategic Industry, and for the Ukrainian army of drones, which shows very good, bright results. I will support all this,” Zelensky said.
