President Volodymyr Zelenskyi announced that he vetoed draft law No. 9534 on the restoration of electronic declaration due to the fact that the register was planned to be closed for another year.

He said this in a special video message.

“Veto. In the morning, a law came from the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, which kept restrictions on electronic declaration. Restrictions are unacceptable. Declarations must be open. At once. Not in a year. The registry should be opened now. Actually, with this main amendment, the law should be voted on. Preferably quickly”– said Zelensky.

We will remind you that on September 6, a petition to the president with a call to veto this bill received the required number of votes in just a few hours. To date, it has been signed by almost 84,000 people.

Members of the European Parliament also called for a veto on Zelenskyi’s draft law.

From the “Word and Deed” infographics, you can find out how the deputies voted for the entire draft law and for the amendment on opening the register of declarations. We also wrote how people’s deputies, who were previously suspected of making unreliable declarations, voted.
