President Volodymyr Zelenskyi implemented the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) regarding the inspection of military medical commissions (MMC).

NSDC on August 30 initiated the check decisions of the People’s Republic of Ukraine on disability and unfitness for military service, which were adopted from February 24, 2022 and may be related to corruption violations.

There are examples of regions where, after February of last year, the number of removals from military registration increased tenfold due to the decision of the VLK. It is absolutely clear what kind of decision this is. Corrupt decisions.
Also, the National Security Council instructed to review the system of determining fitness for military service in order to give commanders more opportunities to involve servicemen in performing tasks and to make it impossible to manipulate the concept of limited fitness.
In addition, according to the decision of the National Security Council, Ukraine will complete the work on the digitalization of the VLK and the provision of an appropriate level of service, in particular, the provision of barrier-free access.

New Minister of Defense Rustem Umyerov announced about intentions to introduce an electronic military ID card in Ukraine, to launch a unified register of conscripts, as well as to digitize all processes of the VLK activity.
At the same time, the Ministry of Health and law enforcement officers will check issued after the start of a full-scale war, decisions of the VLK on limited suitability for military service.
Based on the results of the inspection, conclusions will be made regarding people who, on the basis of falsified decisions, went abroad during the full-scale aggression of the Russian Federation.
