President today Vladimir Zelensky held a meeting of the Headquarters, thanked the German Chancellor for the new Patriot installations and spoke about the work to strengthen the Ukrainian air defense. He reported this in the evening.

A meeting of the Headquarters of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief was held in a narrow circle: only with key persons.

It analyzed the current situation on the front line, in the main areas of Ukrainian offensive operations.

“What is successful. What needs to be strengthened. What we are planning for the near future,” Zelensky explained.

At the headquarters were the reports of the Commander-in-Chief, the commanders of the eastern and southern directions, as well as the report of the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate.

This was followed by a special communication with partners to provide Ukrainian soldiers with ammunition and equipment.

“The task for everyone in Ukraine is the same – to increase the potential of our capabilities at the front and weaken everything with which the occupiers are trying to put pressure on our soldiers or limit Ukraine,” Zelensky said.

The President thanked German Prime Minister Olaf Scholz for the additional Patriot air defense installations.

Today, Russia again hit Zaporozhye, there was a hit on ordinary buildings, a church and a residential building were damaged, the president said.

Now we know about the dead, there are wounded.

“We work every day, weekly to ensure that our sky defenders have more air defense systems and missiles for them,” Zelensky said.

The President noted that tomorrow he will continue this work, and that “much more” air defense systems are required for the entire territory of Ukraine than now.

“Step by step, we are turning this ‘much more’ into concrete capabilities of our Air Force, our anti-aircraft gunners, our mobile fire brigades,” Zelensky said.

He said that more specifics are being prepared regarding modern fighters for Ukrainian soldiers: “I have no doubt that we will have F-16s in the sky.”
