The war with Russia in one way or another affected the entire territory of Ukraine. But 10 regions of the country were particularly seriously affected – mainly those where hostilities took place. Not only housing was destroyed there, but also everything possible.
This was stated by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi in his video messages according to the results of July 2.

“The territory of 10 regions was affected by hostilities after February 24. During this time, it was possible to liberate 1,027 cities and towns, and another 2,610 are still under Russian occupation. And most of them need restoration, hundreds of them were completely destroyed by the Russian army, they actually need to be rebuilt.” – he said.
Zelensky noted that in addition to the destroyed cities in the war zone, there are dozens of settlements where there were no battles, but which were hit by rockets.
“Hundreds of enterprises were destroyed. Among them there are also complex, very dangerous industries – this is chemistry, this is metallurgy… Of course, we have already begun to restore normal life in the liberated areas and territories by our own efforts. But implementing such a large-scale project throughout the country, providing new safety standards, a new quality of life is possible only by attracting international opportunities” – added the president.
We will remind you that Germany believes that a new “Marshall Plan” is needed to restore Ukraine after the war. Currently, the whole world is facing uncertainty due to Russia’s aggression.
According to preliminary data, the National Bank of Ukraine estimated a 40% drop in the gross domestic product (GDP) of Ukraine in the second quarter of the current year. The reason for such a large-scale decline is the Russian invasion.
