President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy congratulated Ukrainian soldiers on the Day of Sergeants and Chief Petty Officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“Today is a special day. The day of our soldiers, on whom the strength and success of our entire army directly depend. This is the day of sergeants and foremen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” he said in a video address on Saturday.
The president said reliable sergeants and foremen are always a support for commanders and help to soldiers and sailors.
“More than 150,000 sergeants and foremen now serve in our Armed Forces. They directly control the soldiers and lead the warriors into battle. They strengthen motivation, teach soldiers, and maintain morale. When sergeants and foremen can be trusted, the army is insurmountable,” Zelenskyy said.
The president thanked every sergeant, every sergeant major who cares about the soldiers and Ukraine, who get the necessary results for their units and for the entire state.
