Zgurets recalled that when “the war began, there were Russian amphibious ships on a raid in front of Odesa and Mykolaiv, which threatened to land a naval landing party.”
“After a certain time, the flagship of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, the cruiser Moskva, was destroyed by the Ukrainian cruise missile “Neptune”, after that all the amphibious ships withdrew from the raid in front of Odessa and Mykolaiv, and now we see that Ukraine uses other technical methods of destruction,” he added he.

The analyst emphasized that Ukrainian naval drones of various designs have already been added, both those developed by the SBU and those developed by private companies that destroy Russian warships in the Black Sea.
“Also, powerful foreign missiles “Storm Shadow” have already been added, which really hit the Russian BDK “Minsk” and the submarine that was stationed near Sevastopol. And this is a truly unique situation, because never before in history has a cruise missile destroyed a submarine Zgurets noted.
He added that all this indicates that Ukraine is now integrating all the technical capabilities of the troops in order to really inflict unacceptable losses on the enemy.
“And this suggests that the asymmetric actions of the Ukrainian side prove to the world that even with limited resources, Ukraine finds options to achieve victory both on land and at sea,” the analyst emphasized.
Attacks on Russian ships
On the night of September 13, Russia accused Ukraine of a massive missile attack on a ship repair plant in Sevastopol and damage to two ships. Ukrainian intelligence confirmed the destruction of a large amphibious ship and a submarine of the Russian Federation.
